What Will the Sun’s Magnetic Field Reversal Mean for Our Solar System?

The Sun's magnetic field will flip in three to four months, an event that will have ripple effects across the Solar System, that's detectable by even the far-away Voyager probes at the doorstep of interstellar space.

The Sun’s magnetic field will flip in three to four months, an event that will have ripple effects across the Solar System, effects that are detectable by the Voyager probes at the edge of interstellar space.

This is a regular part of the solar cycle. So what does this field reversal mean? As the NASA video below explains, this could result in some stormy space weather around Earth.

Cosmic rays could affect astronauts and space probes and maybe even the cloudiness and climate of Earth.
