For some, the word ‘mastery’ conjures up images of medieval samurai or classical pianists. So in his book Mastery, the acclaimed author Robert Greene focused on contemporary masters, who all shared the same characteristics with a Mozart or Goethe.
The human brain is a masterpiece of design, Greene tells us, which enables us to focus very deeply on a subject, even though that might be more challenging in today’s distracting world than it was in the past.
