Today students graduate from college in the U.S. with a mountain of debt and a skill set deficit that leaves them unprepared for the challenges of succeeding in today’s knowledge economy. In other words, we seem to be paying an awful lot for a system that is under-delivering. As information becomes free, knowledge should be less expensive. This was the subject of heated debate in a Nantucket Project panel featuring Big Think’s Peter Hopkins, Larry Summers, Harvard dean Mike Smith, Peter Thiel and Vivek Wadhwa.
