Saloni Dattani

Saloni Dattani is a science writer and a researcher on health for Our World in Data, a website that makes data and research on big topics accessible to the world. She is a co-founder and editor of the digital magazine Works in Progress, which publishes essays on ideas that have improved the world and ways to advance progress further. She is also a commissioning editor for Stripe Press, where she recruits and works with new authors on long form and book publications.

She recently began writing a weekly Substack newsletter, which highlights new scientific research that has the ability to improve our lives.

Alongside these roles, she is completing her PhD in psychiatric genetics, where her research focuses on the impact of study design on the results of genetics research.
