Elizabeth Rodd
As a former teacher and education program manager, Elizabeth Rodd made the leap into documentary filmmaking with the goal of bringing an educator’s eye to the industry and of creating real-life portraits of school communities grappling with complex social and political issues. From 2007-2009, she documented New York City's education policy debates, following the work of grassroots activists as well as policymakers for her documentary CLASS. Today, as Big Think's video producer she is in charge of interviewing the illustrious experts that come through our studio. Elizabeth has had the pleasure to coach many of the world's top business leaders, thinkers and innovators in the delivery of engaging and actionable video lessons. Elizabeth worked previously in program management for the New York Academy of Sciences, the Bank Street Graduate School of Education, and UKA Teacher U. In her spare time, she spent several years as a Digital Video Teaching Artist for Urban Arts Partnership. Her work with children has been featured at Tribeca Film Institute, the Los Angeles Film Festival, and the National Film Festival for Talented Youth. Elizabeth received her EdM in Education Policy and Management from Harvard University.
