An ice-making kit which urges drinkers to recreate the sinking of Titanic using ice cube replicas of the ship and surrounding icebergs has been branded “sick” by consumers.
An ice-making kit which urges drinkers to recreate the sinking of Titanic using ice cube replicas of the ship and surrounding icebergs has been branded “sick” by consumers. “A cube-making kit called Gin and Titonic jokes: ‘Sink another round!’ Historian Brian Ticehurst said: ‘They are distasteful. How long will it be before they make ice cubes of the Twin Towers?’ US maker Fred and Friends called its cubes ‘functional and fun’. It said: ‘Somebody is always offended by something.’” But critics say that the sinking of the Titanic in 1912 which resulted in the deaths of 1,522 people is a tragedy which shouldn’t be used as mild entertainment.
